Every year, the localities under Tapattary and Srijangram blocks of Bongaigaon district face severe floods and riverbank erosion, causing widespread destruction to homes, crops, and livelihoods. These recurring natural calamities have deeply affected the lives of thousands of poor and vulnerable families living along the riverbanks.

Since its inception, the Jubayer Masud Educational & Charitable Trust (JMECT) has been actively engaged in providing timely flood relief and rehabilitation support to the affected communities. With a strong commitment to humanitarian service, the organization has consistently reached out to flood-hit families with essential relief materials such as dry food items, ration kits, drinking water, water filters, medical kits, clothes, tarpaulin sheets, and G.I. sheets for temporary shelter.

Through these continuous efforts, JMECT has so far extended relief and rehabilitation support to over 30,000 families across 36 villages under Tapattary and Srijangram blocks. The initiative not only provides immediate assistance during emergencies but also fosters a sense of hope and resilience among flood-affected communities. JMECT remains committed to continuing its flood relief and recovery interventions to ensure that no family is left behind in times of crisis.
